Privacy Policy
Effective August 7, 2026
Anatomy of a Dream is a show and the community around it, produced by Creative X Entertainment. This page explains what we collect when you visit anatomyofadream.com or join our email list, why we collect it, and how to request that we delete your information.
It covers anatomyofadream.com and the other domains we own that point to it (dreamanatomy.com and theanatomyofadream.com), our email list, and any other site, product, service, or event we offer that links to this policy.
All of it comes back to one thing: understanding our community well enough to keep making Anatomy of a Dream better, and to keep growing it.
What we collect
Information you give us. Your name and email when you join the list, and anything else you choose to tell us through our forms, including the optional questions we ask about you and what you are working on. If you contact us, enter something we run, or buy something from us, we also collect what you send us and what the request needs, such as a phone number, delivery details, or payment information handled by our payment provider.
Information from events. If you come to something we run, we may photograph and record it, and that material may appear in our content and in how we promote it.
Information about our email. Whether our email reached you and how you interacted with it, and when you joined or left the list.
Information collected automatically. Usage data such as the pages you view, where you arrived from, your device and browser details, and connection information including your IP address, which our host uses to deliver the site and to give us an approximate location. We also store a random ID in your browser so repeat visits can be counted as one person rather than many.
For California residents, the categories above correspond to identifiers (name, email, IP address, device ID), commercial information (purchases or event registrations), internet activity (pages viewed, email engagement), geolocation (approximate location from IP), and audio or visual information (event photos and recordings). We collect these directly from you, automatically through your use of the site, and from our service providers.
Why we collect it
We use what we collect to run the site and the email list, to send you workbooks, episode notes, offers, and news about what we are making, to understand what our community responds to so we can make it better, and to advertise and promote Anatomy of a Dream and the partners who support it, including measuring how that advertising performs and reaching people like you on other platforms. For email, our basis is your consent, or where the law allows it, our legitimate interest in staying in touch with people who asked to hear from us. For everything else, our basis is a legitimate interest in running Anatomy of a Dream, or your request that we act on something you sent us.
We measure how the site is used, including counting visits and page views, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving Anatomy of a Dream. For advertising, and for any cookie or similar technology that stores or reads an identifier on your device, our basis is your consent, collected through the cookie banner on anatomyofadream.com. You can accept or reject those categories when you first visit, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the site footer.
We use automated tools, including AI, to help us make sense of all this, to group people by what they seem to care about, and to decide what to send and when.
Who else touches it
We use service providers who handle your information under contracts that limit what they can do with it. Some partners, such as advertising platforms, also handle data under their own policies:
- Hosting and database providers, who run the site and store our records.
- Email delivery providers, who send our email and report whether it was delivered, opened, or clicked.
- Analytics, advertising, and marketing providers, who help us measure traffic, run and measure our advertising, and reach people who might like what we make.
We may also share information with partners who sponsor or collaborate with us, with advertising and analytics platforms who help us promote it, and where the law requires it. Some privacy laws define part of that as selling or sharing personal information, including sharing for advertising across other platforms.
If Anatomy of a Dream, or the company behind it, is ever sold, merged, invested in, or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that, and this policy keeps applying until we tell you otherwise. We also create aggregated and de-identified information, which no longer identifies anyone, and we use and share that freely. We maintain that information without attempting to re-identify anyone.
Cookies and local storage
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies, including your browser’s local storage and advertising identifiers, to keep the site working, to count visits, to measure how our work and our advertising perform, and to show our advertising to people who might like what we make.
When you first visit anatomyofadream.com, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, including advertising and analytics cookies. Essential cookies that keep the site functioning are not subject to that choice. You can update your preferences at any time through the cookie settings link in the site footer, or by clearing cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Our site honors the Global Privacy Control signal and any other legally recognized opt-out preference signal your browser sends. When we detect one, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information and to reject non-essential cookies, without you needing to do anything else.
How long we keep it
Subscriber records are kept while you are on the list. If you unsubscribe we keep a record of that so we do not email you again. If you ask for deletion, we delete the record and keep only a suppression entry. Everything else, including usage and analytics data, is kept for as long as we have an active relationship with you, an ongoing use for it, or a legal reason to hold onto it, and is deleted or fully aggregated once none of those apply.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Email dream@creativexent.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. We will not treat you differently for asking. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to processing, to request a portable copy of your data, and to complain to your national data protection authority.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, to correct it, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. You can exercise the opt-out right by using the cookie settings link in the site footer, by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or by emailing dream@creativexent.com. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
To stop emails without contacting us at all, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send.
Where your data lives
We are based in the United States and our providers store data there. If you are writing to us from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards for those transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or providers certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Anatomy of a Dream is produced for a US audience and is not directed or marketed to people in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If our audience there grows to the point where EU or UK law requires it, we will appoint a representative in the EU or UK and update this policy with their contact details.
Children
Anatomy of a Dream is made for adults and nothing we run is directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information in a way that matters, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change materially expands how we use information we already hold, we will take the additional steps the law requires, which may include asking you first.
